| Project: | Battlefield Trainer - JTAC Strike | | Client: | US Air Force |
Energid is developing a training system that will directly impact Joint Terminal Attack Controller's (JTACs) overall combat mission effectiveness. The system will enable the Services to cope with a growing demand for highly skilled, combat-ready JTACs in an era of limited live training opportunities. Energid is producing a PC-based interactive wargame with sufficient fidelity to enable mission training and rehearsal.
JTAC Strike, our unique solution to JTACs training needs, boasts the following features: - An innovative context system processor to interpret and cross-reference anaphoric (relating to communications), exophoric (relating to visual context), and evoking references (relating to background knowledge) - continuously updated as a result of both perceptual and linguistic events.
- An Artificial Intelligence module capable of voice recognition and synthetic response. The simulation is capable of interpreting and responding appropriately to target talk-on methodologies such as “unit-of-measure” and “big-to-little.”
- Supports full CAS missions from check-in and authentication to target talk-on and check-out.
- Has been developed with extensive input from subject matter experts.
Our objective is to reduce the overall time required to develop a combat mission ready JTAC. Our approach represents a significant technical advancement in mission training/rehearsal with far-reaching potential for a broad range of training, simulation, commercial gaming, and robotic applications.
