New Robot Control Patent Awarded To Energid

Cambridge, Massachusetts (August 13, 2013) — Energid was awarded a patent for a broadly applicable method of controlling for mobile robots. The new algorithmic approach coordinates the motion of a base vehicle with the joint motion in articulated arms mounted to the vehicle. This innovation will allow Energid’s software to support new applications of mobile robotic mechanisms, including easier teleoperation and enhanced autonomy. The patent, US 8,428,781, is entitled Systems and Methods for Coordination Control for Robot Manipulation.
