April 9-12, 2008 Energid to Present at SAGES, Philadelphia, PA James English, President and Chief Technical Officer of Energid Technologies, will present Energid’s surgical training toolkit at the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons annual meeting. The training toolkit allows surgeons to create curricula that include interactive scenario-based simulations. April 8-9, 2008 Energid to Present at RoboBusiness, Pittsburgh, PA
David Askey, Energid’s Chief Business Development Officer, will be presenting a talk on surgical robots and robotic surgery. The talk will cover the benefits of robot-assisted surgery for the patient and hospital, as well as enabling technologies, new capabilities needed, and market direction. In addition to the presentation, Energid will have a booth at the conference showing various robotic systems being controlled by Actin—Energid’s premiere simulation and control software. Hardware from Schunk, Segway, and Energid will be used for the demonstrations. April 6-8, 2008 Energid to Present at ATA, Seattle, WA Energid Technologies will present the progress of its High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) tele-operated manipulator project during this year’s American Telemedicine Association (ATA) annual meeting to be held at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center. Dr. Valdivia y Alvarado will present details of our latest manipulator designs in addition to discussing HIFU sonication experiments as part of the conference’s Emergency & Trauma session. Energid’s presentation is among the Selected Presentations available for viewing on-line at the conference web site. November 26-29, 2007 Energid to exhibit at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) conference, Orlando, FL
IITSEC promotes cooperation among the Armed Services, industry, academia and various Government agencies in pursuit of improved training and education programs, identification of common training issues and development of multi-service programs. Energid will be demonstrating their Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) training system as part of IITSEC’s Serious Games Challenge. This challenge recognizes innovative game-based technologies and solutions that improve training across all segments for individuals, groups and systems. October 25-26, 2007 Energid to exhibit at RoboDevelopment, San Jose, CA
Energid will be exhibiting at the RoboDevelopment conference in San Jose to highlight new features of their premier robot control and simulation software Actin. Energid will be showcasing real-time collision avoidance with a Schunk PowerCube modular 7-axis robot. Please visit us at booth #204. October 18-21 2007 Energid to exhibit at Robot World 2007, Seoul, Korea
Energid will be exhibiting at Robot World in Seoul, Korea highlighting the Actin robot control and simulation software. Actin was developed for NASA and is being used to control some of the world’s most sophisticated robotic systems. Please visit our booth at #914 June 12-14, 2007 Energid to present at the International Robots and Vision Show, Chicago, IL President and CTO James English will give a talk on Control and Simulation of Complex Robotic Systems. The talk will cover the many applications for complex robotic systems and Energid's new control software which makes realizing such systems possible. The presentation will address how this technology works, the problems it solves, its application, and how it is being made accessible to the robotics community as a software toolkit. Energid will also have a booth at the show where they will be demonstrating their latest control and simulation software. May 15-16, 2007 Energid to present at RoboBusiness, Boston, MA Energid's COO Neil Tardella will be presenting a talk on Networked Robotics. The talk explores some approaches to networked robotics that are being developed at Energid and elsewhere, and how this emerging technology may be socially transformative. In addition to the talk, Energid will have a booth at the conference and plans to have a live teleoperated robotics demo. February 6-9, 2007 Energid to present at MMVR15, Long Beach, CA Energid will be presenting a paper entitled "Localized Virtual Patient Model for Regional Anesthesia Simulation Training System" at this year's MMVR conference. The paper will be presented by Dr. John Hu, Director of Medical Systems and Robotics. Also in attendance at the conferce will be co-author and senior medical simulation engineer Dr. Yi-Je Lim. June 20-21, 2006 Energid Technologies will exhibit and its President and CTO, James English, will speak at the Robobusiness 2006 Conference and Expo, Pittsburgh PA The RoboBusiness Conference and Exposition brings together key industry participants involved with commercial application of mobile robotic and intelligent systems technology to develop a new generation of smart, mobile devices for multiple markets. Dr. English will discuss control and simulation of complex robotic systems.
