Energid's smartCodec is a hardware compression system for video and other imagery. It is designed for communications in adverse conditions and provides robust tele-robotic communications for mobile surveillance, industrial tele-robotics, and upcoming consumer tele-robotics applications. The smartCodec adapts to the abrupt changes in network bandwidth and latency common in mobile communications. Its closed-loop optimization provides dynamic data prioritization, responds to receiver-end user priorities and compensates for latency jitter.
